NBC Orders a Pilot for The Sixth Gun

sixthgunthumb2

It’s been a long strange road thus far, but it’s only going to get stranger (at least for me) from here! As reported on Deadline.com, NBC has ordered a pilot for THE SIXTH GUN. That means that in the weeks to come, we’ll be learning more about the director and actors. The pilot will be shot in the coming months!   LOST veteran Carlton Cuse is producing. Ryan Condal wrote the pilot. Eric Gitter and Andy Borne of Closed on Mondays, the sister company of Oni Press, are executive producing.

Stay tuned for more information!

If you haven’t read THE SIXTH GUN, now is the time! You can read the very first issue of the series for free here.

The Sixth Gun: Sons of the Gun & More!

NYCC may be over, but here are a couple of more announcements!

First up, a new spin-off mini-series, The Sixth Gun: Sons of the Gun will be launching in January. This is a story of “black hats” featuring General Hume’s horsemen. They may have died, but their infamy lives on. In this series, we explore what happened to the horsemen in between the death of the General and the first issue of The Sixth Gun. This is the tale of how the guns corrupted each of them… and how the weapons bound them together as this weird band of brothers.

Brian Hurtt is co-writing the series and the amazing Brian Churilla is illustrating it.

For more details, check out this CBR interview.

During NYCC, we also announced that there will be a hardcover edition of The Sixth Gun released in late spring. It will be oversized and chocked full of back up material!

Vikings + Black Magic + Demons = HELHEIM!

Comic Book Resources has exclusive coverage of my freshly announced comic book series, Helheim! This is a horror story of Vikings, witches, black magic, demons, and reanimation. I’m so excited for this book! It features amazing art by Joelle Jones, colors by Nick Filardi, and letters by Ed Brisson. It’s like a confluence of kick ass talent!

Helheim is coming… March 6. Pre-order it dammit.

The Sixth Gun heads to NBC!

Some really big news on The Sixth Gun front!

The Sixth Gun is now in development as a series for NBC. Veteran TV producer Carlton Cuse (Lost) and screenwriter Ryan Condal are working on an adaptation as we speak! The Hollywood Reporter just broke the story, and you can read all about it there!

Now… if you haven’t read the series yet, now is the time! Three trade paperbacks are available… with a fourth on the way next month! And you can read the entire first issue for free on ComiXology or on the Oni Press website!

Get on it!
