About Cullen

CULLEN BUNN is the writer of creator-owned comic books such as THE SIXTH GUN, HARROW COUNTY, BONE PARISH, THE DAMNED, THE EMPTY MAN, REGRESSION, THE GHOUL NEXT DOOR, and BASILISK. He has also written books such as DEADPOOL KILLS THE MARVEL UNIVERSE, UNCANNY X-MEN, and ASGARDIANS OF THE GALAXY for Marvel; SINESTRO and LOBO for DC; and SHADOWMAN and PUNK MAMBO for Valiant.

  • Cullen has fought for his life against mountain lions and performed on stage as the World’s Youngest Hypnotist.

  • Cullen has entered the infamous Gross-Out Contest at the World Horror Convention four times. He has taken first place every time he entered. He's not sure he should be proud of this.

  • Cullen has written comics for nearly all major publishers, including Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse, Vault, Valiant, Boom, Oni Press, Titan, IDW, Dynamite, Outland Entertainment, New England Comics , and others.

  • Cullen holds a degree in Creative Writing from Missouri State University.

  • All writers must pay their dues, and Cullen has held jobs as a member of a door-to-door sales crew, a photographer, a short order cook, a grocery cart wrangler, a comic book store manager, a resume writer, a receptionist, a career counselor, an IT manager, a project manager, and a Vice President of Marketing.

  • Cullen's other career paths have included professional wrestling manager, sasquatch wrangler, rodeo clown, and alien autoopsy specialist.
